A puddingstone boulder (a glacial erratic, or a boulder left over from quarrying operations?) in the woods of Franlin Park.

Love that first shot, and as for the second, it makes me think that some giant was beginning a balancing project such as you make from time to time.

I only recently learned the term "glacial erratic" and as is common when you learn a new word or term, you seem to see it crop up all the time. I really like them now, too.

Of all places, I learned it while reading the Wikipedia entry about Plymouth Rock. It really pleased me that the article writer or writers too the time to include facts about the rock itself and its composition, rather than just the human history of the rock.
