Everyone loves zoo babies

I think this is the best shot I got of Stone Zoo's new gibbon baby and its mom, but that won't stop me from posting a whole bunch of other ones too!

Mom is named Iggy, and baby (don't know if it's a male or female yet) is as yet unnamed. One young zoo guest suggested "Pudding," which is pretty good.

Gibbons are quite acrobatic, and Iggy swung around her exhibit with the baby clinging precariously at times, but she seemed confident that she wouldn't drop her cute and weird looking offspring.

Zoo guests and zoo keepers alike were mesmerized by the rare early glimpse of the mother and child moving about the unseasonably warm day.

At one point, Iggy was on the ground making a ruckus toward the exhibit window. A keeper who knows their behavior well, said "What's she so mad about?" I went over to check it out, assuming there was guest that Iggy didn't like the looks of.

As it turned out, Iggy was getting a look at Willow the baby reindeer being walked out to her exhibit yard!

What a day, two zoo babies from opposite ends of the globe out to shine in the sun!
