This puppy has been with us so long that he looks like a dog now! His heart is apparently all better, the hole in his neck where they went in to fix his heart is almost totally healed, and he gets neutered this Thursday. One of his testicles never descended so they have to root around in there to find it to take it out.

We will miss him and we will cry when he goes. There will be an empty spot in our hearts, but more importantly there will be an empty space in our kitchen, which we will be able to pass through without opening baby gates. If we're going to keep fostering puppies we need to turn them over more quickly so we don't get so attached to them. It's such a weird mixture of emotions.

I always wanted to foster kids. Some people are good with dogs but I am good with kids. I just could not imagine coping with the emotional impact of having to give the kids back.

To be honest, you guys probably do a better job placing pups than the social services here do with kids. Imagine if you had to give a puppy back to it's abuser?

I think you guys are awesome. However you manage you do more than I could. Kudos.

I'm so terrified of placing the dogs with someone who will mistreat them.
