3:00 snapshot #1431: Pumpkin meeting plus bonus superb suburban skyscapes

An elite superteam of zookeepers who happen to have some pumpkin carving ability have been brought together to craft a pumpkin to represent the zoo.


That evening I headed to the shopping complex to get carving supplies at the arts and crafts store. Something started happening to the sky.




In one direction, toward the mall, a glow like something just beyond the sky was on fire.


In the other, a rainbow over the incinerator plant.


The orange fire gave way to purple pink warmth.


I went back home and started work on the pumpkin.
