Like most of the things in this post, these mushrooms are unidentified. They are polypores--which is a bit like saying an animal is an arthropod.

Turkey tails, Trametes versicolor, ascend a wet stump in a helix.

An alarmingly realistic wooden toy M-16 rifle.

Another polypore, a hoof-shaped one growing from a firewood pile.

A lovely but colorless bolete.

Bright color provided by orange hawkweed, Pilosella aurantiaca, a wildflower native to northern Europe.

A lovely little wet mushroom by itself in the front mulch bed.
