It's spring some urban places in North America - one reason I like living in Portland, OR, is that spring - at least by my definition, which is based on a vague combination of temperature range, increasing length of day, and signs of new growth* - starts about Feb 1 and lasts until some time in late June.
*that it is also wet goes without saying; my definition of summer here is in large part based on the lack of wet.
