Urban Nature Walk

In case you didn't know, cottonmanifesto and I also do another zine, "Urban Nature Walk." The idea is that a group of us nature-minded urbanites go on a nature walk in the city and document what we discover in the zine. I think it has tremendous potential (possibly more than "The Urban Pantheist," but it hasn't taken off in the way that I was hoping it would. I simply need to work harder at it, is all.

In the Winter and Spring of 1999, my ex and I lived in San Francisco. Our original housing arrangement fell through, and we stayed with a friend we knew through zinester circles. She stretched the definition of generous, allowing us to stay until May, at which time our consciences could no longer bear the weight of our freeloading. Her place was a museum of contemporary art--some of her friends were amazing artists who she hired to decorate the entire place. It is indescribable. Fortunately, someone has put up a website full of photographs so I don't have to try to describe it.

While we lived there, I painted the cupboards in the front house. They aren't as good as everything else in the place, and they aren't even finished (I really wish I finished the Grover cave painting) , but I thought some of you might like to see them anyway.
