I went to see the Darwin exhibit at the Museum of Science today, with [livejournal.com profile] rockbalancer, [livejournal.com profile] amypatt, Justin, and Anneke. I found it to be strangely moving, with so many artifacts from Darwin's life (his rock hammer, letters from his wife, his gun) mixed with live animal exhibits, taxidermies, and biographical information, all in low light to preserve it all. Great information and effective interpretation, and it doesn't cost more than the museum admission to see it all.

Disgusting substance of the day: gritty mud on the dogs' bellies and legs, from the morning dogwalk.

Last year at this time I was in Antigua, with no internet, so there was a week suspension from the 365 urban species project. When I got back, I posted an Antiguan species and a Boston species each day until I got caught up.
