On this day in 365 Urban Species: Honeybee. So much in the news these days. On the Sunday edition of the Honolulu paper there was an article about a mite species imperiling Hawaii's honeybees. While I was there I saw several honeybees, including a hive in a tree in a city park. I brought home some organic white honey as a gift for cottonmanifesto.

Aloha Kauai!

I'll be unplugging the internet cable and hitting the road in a few minutes. cottonmanifesto said that I haven't posted enough pictures. Well in about 48 hours (give or take 24) this journal will be Kauai picture central, with a tsunami of images taken over the three days I was here. I've been doing too much stuff to post about it, which is a good thing for a vacation. Another good thing for a vacation to have is a couple days at home afterward. I'm really looking forward to that! :)
