Work-related field trip
Oct. 20th, 2004 07:03 amThis Monday I attended my Society's Annual Meeting and Conference. It was more interesting than that sounds:
The morning meeting was held at Endicott College.

In the afternoon we broke into smaller groups for field trips. I went to the Ipswich River Sanctuary.

This was the most frequently encountered wild animal:

This was the second-most frequent:

Here's some evidence of the animal that has affected the sanctuary most profoundly:

Of course I was on the lookout for mushrooms--most of what I found was old:

Then I found a beauty!

Back at the nature center. Everyone gets squirrels at their birdfeeders, but...
