Halloween on Bikes!
Oct. 31st, 2004 09:15 amToday is without a doubt, the warmest, nicest Halloween day I've ever seen. Soon we'll get ourselves out there to enjoy it. In the meanwhile, here's a whole mess of bicyclists dressed up for a Halloween ride through the city. (Dialups beware: 18 pictures behind cut.)
Bread roll in almost every picture courtesy of Food not Bombs.

I didn't photograph all the pirates. Most were just people in their street clothes wearing either a bandana or striped socks or something. It's like the official costume of the anarchists and bike activists. This lady gamely pretended to have a sword for the picture.

Little Red Riding Hood brought his own bread.

Mary and Jesus front

And back

How do you ensure that people will cheer Critical Mass, not jeer it?
"Go Red Sox!!"

Sometimes a photograph looks better than the real thing. Go Red Eye!
