It's an annyual. I'm finding that some sources are calling it a "winter annual." It blooms (depending on who you ask)"From June to September," "August to September," and "you should be able to find samples in bloom from January right through to December in sheltered places."

It depends, I suppose, on what region you are in, and where the plant is growing.
