Sunday dogwalk in Olmsted Park

A light snow made for a pretty landscape in Olmsted Park today. This is my favorite view of Ward's Pond.

Charlie loves to play with sticks in (or at) the water, even if the water is frozen.

The water from Jamaica Pond seeps down to Ward's pond year round, because the ponds are spring-fed. Though frigid, the water is liquid in winter, and there is always plant growth in the seep.

Alexis and Maggie stand in front of the biggest northern red oak in the park.

On a stone bridge where someone dumps seed for the birds, I found these nice tracks.

I think this is the foot of an American beech.

While Ward's Pond, Jaimaica Pond, and Leverett Pond are mostly frozen, little Spring pond has no ice.

The view across Leverett Pond includes the building I seem to be obsessed with.
And now, a Peaceful New Age moment.
...until...
