I just came from mailing the Urban Nature Walk packages to those of you who ordered them. Thanks again for throwing your money at a complete unknown. I hope you like what you get.

I'm now sold out of Urban Nature Walk #1, which was just reviewed in "Zine World," thus:
"The majority of the zine consists of email exchanges between Jef and the other participants in the nature walks--lots of 'sorry, can't make it'--and well-reproduced pictures taken from the successful outings. The history area was the most interesting; perhaps they can cut back on tht chit-chat next time."

It's not going to get people to order the zine, but it is fair. I agree with it, and we changed the second one to be better.

It's pouring rain outside, the first time it's done that here in many weeks (months?). I got to wear the high visibility rain jacket that [livejournal.com profile] cottonmanifesto got me for our anniversary. It works! It not only kept my top half dry (why did I wear jeans, exactly?), but it concealed my "Cut Your Mullet" T-shirt from the poodlemulleted Postal teller. I rode my primary bike for the first time in a long time (I've been using public transportation to commute, and using my secondary bike with trailer to grocery shop), and it was a rush! Skinny tires, no trailer draggin' me back, quick handling--I can't wait for spring. Of course, this pouring rain is supposed to turn into snow tonight, and the temperature is supposed to plummet, so spring ain't exactly here yet.

In other news, I'm going to try to create the cover for the next Urban Pantheist myself using actual art supplies. Now that I've blogged it, I can't chicken out. Gulp.

If anyone else is interested in getting a copy of Urban Nature Walk #2, and missed the promotional rate, here's a new one: $2.00 per issue, including shipping. I am making 45 cents a copy at that rate, but I can't see charging any more. If you pay with paypal, after their cut I'm pocketing like a nickel. It all goes to drugs. Someday someone else will publish my stuff, until then, let's go broke with zines!
