The [British] government has announced that it will publish guidance for schools on how creationism and intelligent design relate to science teaching, and has reiterated that it sees no place for either on the science curriculum.

A lot of the folks commenting on it were glad due to anti-religious thought, but I personally see no reason why the fundamentals of creationist/intelligent design shouldn't be taught or at least made available through more philosophical courses. Granted, they're not science, and should not be taught in a science course, but they are valid courses of study; to ignore them is as ignorant as ignoring evolution.
