Waimea Canyon


Waimea Canyon is the biggest canyon in the Pacific, carved by the incessant rain over the past 6 million years or so falling on Mount Waialeale. It's up to 3500 feet deep, ten miles long, and a mile across in it's widest parts.



Turistas.








Precarious hiking! Watch that first step.


Some find it pretty easy going, though.

*eyes all googly* Wow... That looks a lot like southern Utah, except for the bits of green at the bottom. In Utah they would be crackly and brown and fire.
