Actually, if it's an Italian name, Gigli would be pronounced like "JEE-lyee" (though American students might say "JEEL-yee")

Is gigli a manufacturer's trademark name? It looks like embryotomy wire. Good for cutting through most anything biological, like antlers, for instance.
