made you look! it's only words.
I've decided to try this radical new weight loss program. I'm going to be trying to eat less and exercise more, at least through the summer months, when good food and bicycling weather is available. I think it's already working: I'm hungry all the time and my muscles hurt.
Good on Joe Biden for calling Bush on his bullshit. It's long overdue that someone in congress had the stones to use Cheney language in public when talking about these fuckers.
I don't know if it's yet another side effect of pushing 40, but my five mile bike commute feels like several sharp kicks to the taint. Today was my second day in a row of cycling to work, and I had the foresight to wear bike shorts, the kind with padding built in to the crotch to ass area (it looks like a huge maxi-pad sewn in there--a mega-pad, if you will). So while my perineum pain was a dull ache, other areas were crunched up in the spandex. I'm going to call them CBT shorts from now on.
Also, good on the California Supreme Court for deciding that one group of people having rights doesn't deprive others of the same rights. Damn activist judges! First they decide that people of different races can get married, now people of the same sex! Part of me is smug that Massachusetts out-liberaled California by 5 years, and part of me remembers that California elected Reagan and Swarzenneger. I hope that a majority of California voters decide not to amend their Constitution to discriminate against a whole class of people. It might give South Carolina the idea to amend their Constitution to keep black people from voting or owning land or something.
I kid South Carolina on account of the fact that they still fly the confederate flag, even though I linked to one of their newspapers for the BUllSHit story.
Why does someone think that spamming my livejournal will get me to look at their website? It actually makes me want to research their website and donate money to an opposing organization. But considering they were an anti-veterinarian website, and I work for veterinarians, I've got that covered.
