That's my boy! I don't like to imagine the yorkie/gsd pairing--hopefully the yorkie was the male--but I'll happily call him a German shepherd/boston terrier mix, if nothing else just to make people's mouths drop open. Interestingly, this won't take away all the problems caused by him being known as a pit bull. For one thing, insurers often have a bias against German shepherds. For another, Boston's anti-pitbull law is written so that the determination as to whether the dog is a pit bull or not is made by the law enforcement officer based on appearance only.

On the other hand, it's nice to know that Charlie and Jim are more closely related than we previously thought.
