Noticing the year 12/01/08
Dec. 1st, 2008 05:27 pmToday was one of those freakishly warm winter days where you see people jogging in winter coats and shorts. Fifty five degrees on the first of December is a very different feeling from 55 in July. It was a nice change from the sleet I experienced when I visited my dad.
Tonight, and I gather for the next few nights, depending on where you live, there's a spectacular view of the convergence of the crescent moon, Venus, and Jupiter. The planets are gloriously bright, even as they compete with the city lights. If you live out where there's real dark, it's probably pretty awe-inspiring. It all sets around nine, so get out and see it while you can.
