The first dead body I ever saw (actually, my real estate coworker's uncle), the guy died standing up and fell face forward and landed on his outstretched arms, breaking his fall. Whoever got there first (I am a volunteer EMT/Basic) -- the paramedics and police both beat us there -- flipped him over, and so when I got there, he was kind of bent upward at the waist, with his hands and arms looking as though they were pushing something away.
Most of the dead cockroaches I see on my current paying job (food inspector) are right-side up, as they die on glue boards intended for mice.
