The day after yesterday.

"We need to evacuate everyone south of the pink areas."

"What about the people north?"

"It's already too late for them."

Hahaha! Good one. It is frigid out there. I keep telling myself that if we get through this short arctic burst, it'll be the worst of the season and everything else will feel much warmer and winter will scoot by faster. Wishful thinking.

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who thought that after looking at weather.com yesterday :) :)

oh man, we are still here and we are going to the bus stop one more time this week. Only -22 right now. It is supposed to warm tomorrow. Really!

We eagerly await your refugees. Bring money for the slots.

It's always something

It's been in the 70s here all week. People are panicking about drought.

Ha! I've been thinking about that movie ever since I got back from Mexico on Wednesday. I almost wish the map showed what Canada is getting, too...there are people north of Maine and Minnesota, too!

We'll ship you some snow. That melts into perfectly good water, or so I hear.

ug. that's brutal. i remember watching that film and thinking, "o, good, we're ok. we'll just stay here, grow some veggies, maybe take in a couple refugees..."

[identity profile] mas69ter.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm so not looking forward to walking to work in an hour. Ugh!

all of you frozen folks in the pink areas, I wish you warmth...bitter cold and tons of snow is not fun. take care all of you.

Wow, I really do live in paradise. ~does not gloat lest the weather deities change their minds~

I love how Northern Maine, not to be outdone, is holding its own against northern Minnesota for Most Stupidly Cold Place Evar. Well done, there.

Holy crap it's cold over there!!! I don't even want to tell you how warm it was today for me...:(

[identity profile] sayashaw.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I too am disappointed that Canada is not appropriately shaded a color that says 'hella cold' though how pink translates into cold leaves me baffled.

I just moved from the yellow zone to a blue/white region.

God, I am an idiot.

[identity profile] antarcticlust.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
They had to go colder than blue somehow...

I was out in just a sweater today (everyone yells at me: "Where's your coat??!!!"), but tonight we are down to -30C. Wind chill SUUUCKS!
