In the serendipity department: today we donated my daughter's red-eared slider into the turtle pond at our local mall. It was billed as a "GREAT St. Augustine Souvenir!!!!1!" at one of the stores down there and was about the size of a silver dollar. Grandpa bought it (gee, thanks) and 5 months later: it had outgrown our 5 gallon fish tank.
