Okay, a little more Easter Island
Aug. 19th, 2005 12:51 pmIt's not all Ahu Moai and Tangatu Manu. The sun sets like a power outage, with dusk measured in seconds. We weren't up for much stumbling around an unfamiliar foreign village at night, so we stayed pretty domestic.

Above we're enjoying the traditional Chilean booze drink; the "Pisco Sour."
Then back to the hotel for some of the worst pool playing anyone in history has managed. Really. We consoled ourselves that the European style table had "tight pockets" but in truth, we suck. I so love snapshots, because without them, I would forget details like the way the hotel bar is painted.

The next morning we walked out in a light rain to see if we could see the sea turtles that allegedly come into the harbor to eat scraps. We never did see them.

But we did meet this dog! She was a very sweet young female that accompanied us every morning on our walks. Now I should say a hearty hello to the visitors from
hounds_of_hell and whatever dog-related communities
cottonmanifesto belongs to. Hello! (Woof! woof!)

A wet road won't stop a dog from it's appropriate social behavior.

Next: I don't know. That's all I have uploaded so far. I must be getting close to the quarry pictures (the quarry was DEFINITELY the highlight of the trip.)
