Tonight we came upon a juvenile red-tailed hawk, feeding on something on the riverbank.

I was sad when I scared it away by taking pictures of it, but when I took a close look at the kill, I found that the hawk had eaten quite a bit of the duck already.

Then we came upon some art in a birch tree!

On the first floor window of our building, the Boston ivy is starting to foliate. This was going to be my picture of the day, before the hawk, and the art, and the ant.
