This is one of my favorite views of Antigua. The trees are visible from the house, and we worry that they might be torn down when the top of the hill is developed.

St. Johns, the biggest (only) city on the island, at night.

At Hawksbill bay we can see the next nearest island, Montserrat, which has an active volcano.
The rock formation in the bay is supposed to look like a hawksbill sea turtle head, but we all think it looks like a frog.

Alexis crouches by a deep bowl-like tide pool at Hawksbill bay.

I was missing mushrooms, since they are hard to come by on hot and dry Antigua.
Fortunately there were rocks at Hawksbill Bay that I could assemble into a mushroom.

At long bay there was gentle sandstone which lent itself to these little balances.

Deep bay is close to the house, an easy walk, if you dare to scrabble across the boulders...

...and wade under the restaurant.

Above deep bay a shovel does some precarious work, getting a new house put in.

On the other side of the bay is Goat Hill, topped with Fort Barrington.

I balanced some coral at the base of Goat Hill.

From there I could see the Galley Bay Heights neighborhood, which has many more houses than when we first started visiting 5 years ago.
