It had to happen eventually.

An Ailanthus tree growing rather too close to a building. Suckers (young trees sprouting from the parent tree's roots) sometimes grow inside the student library.

Looks like "eventually" happened long enough ago that someone decided to prune off some of its branches.

Sorry, I was being obtuse: I meant eventually my 3:00 snapshot and my Urban Nature Picture of the day would be the same picture. That tree is an old frenemy, working its roots through the walls of my building all the time.
