Unidentified fly at Lost Pond. (Anyone?)




Nearly full summer lushness conditions. This is why I would find it difficult to live in the desert.


Moist conditions make terrestrial gastropods happy. A dusky slug, I believe.


We saw many of these snails, shaped like pond snails, but far from the water.




One of the highlights was this blue mold-like organism. Alexis went back the next day to photograph it, and the blue fuzzy parts had changed into white chunky crystal-like bits.
