An unknown (to me) Amanita mushroom, symbiotic with the big oaks of Olmsted Park.

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry Fly Agaric fans, but two different mycologists have identified this as Amanita flavorubescens

muscaria is sometimes yellow. i'm tempted to guess jonquillata off the top of my head, but i'm not really from the right ecosystem to have a right to guess :)

From the spots on the cap, I'm guessing some form of Fly Agaric...

In our area amanita muscaria is often yellow, and the related species are so close that they intergrade, so there's no point in distinguishing them.

By the way, David Arora says (and demonstrated to a class I attended) that you can blanch them to rid them of the mild poison they carry and then cook them up to be delicious. But when I did the exact thing at home, they were not delicious.
