but so cool..

my son and i were checking out a bee doing its thing today and my six year old went though the "do i grab my camera and take a picture i can keep or stay watching and not risk the bee leaving while i get my camera" dillema.. he stayed and watched the bee in the end.. was really cute to watch him verbalise a situation i'm often in :)

It looks more like a Flesh Fly (Sarcophaga) to me, but I'd be the first to admit that flies can be ... difficult.

It may well be--it seemed a little small to be a flesh fly at the time, but the pattern looks very flesh-fly-like.
