Random pictures with maybe a tenuous pit bull theme

Here's Charlie experiencing goats for the first time. He thought they were probably delicious.

This was in [livejournal.com profile] audacian's back yard, where our two pit bulls were playing.

Then on Monday, I had to take a cat to the MSPCA and I was happy to discover it was Pit Bull Awareness Month! I don't suppose Jimmy Carter kept his pit bulls in the White House.

Pit bulls are terriers, like Yorkies and Westies.
Pit bulls were the #1 family dog in the early 1900s.
Pit bulls are used as therapy dogs and search and rescue dogs.
Pit bulls were the mascot for the U.S. in WWII.
Pit bulls benefit greatly from rewards-based training!

Inside I found this--I'm glad speutering is discounted for pit bulls, since they're the only breed for which it is mandatory in Boston.

And there are these three: Wilbur, Leggy McGee, and Oscar. They aren't pit bulls, but they are related (French bulldogs). We'll have Frenchies when we're older and less mobile.
