Molting

Four pictures of our red screech owl taken a month ago, at the height of his molt. He has injured eyes and an injured wing, due to being in a tree when it was cut down.

wow! poor guy. weird sometimes how they will just stay still - freeze - when chaos kicks up around them.

I loooove Screech Owls! They are so pretty...so sad that this one got hurt for such a stupid reason...
