I'm sticking with LiveJournal, even as people get more and more frustrated with the increasing levels of spam. Every day I delete a handful of new spam comments that appear on old posts, and every comm I belong to has become a repository for big glossy russian ads for things. Some communities are shuttering, some are moderating all posts; most of mine weren't very active lately anyway. But LiveJournal still works well for what I do, and I feel like I have a distinct identity here that has evolved over time. Plus I need to hang in until 2013 so I can mark a full decade blogging in one place!

Glad you're sticking around. As a side note, I don't get any spam since my journal is locked. I don't get many comments either...but that's beside the point.

yeah--certain old entries of mine get spammed... trying to figure out what it is that catches the spammers... one in particular where I copy-and-pasted a huge chunk of info snags them and I have to keep deleting. Maybe I'll put that one on lock me only for a while to get it off the spam-but radar

your posts are about 25% of worthwhile content in my f-list now. used to be a lot of great producers/sharers, but it's down to the hardcore, now. which makes me extra glad you don't skimp on pics, details, and interesting stuff to share.

Sorry to hear the spam is that bad. I'm getting one a week, but it's increasing. The communities are petering out. They really messed it up. And with everyone flocking to Facebook and Twitter, even Dreamwidth is quiet these days.

I'd like to restart my Anglo-Saxon word of the day because 2 or 3 people have told me they miss it, but I just can't figure out where to find time.
