Charlie the very tolerant dog. Why does it amuse us to put stickers on him? Probably because he doesn't struggle or wipe them off, he just gives us the sad look. Then we say "Poor Charlie!" and take them off. Someone should probably take him away from us.

AWwww... poor Charlie...

We do the same thing to Callie and she does the same thing, giving us her sad, pathetic face. She's slightly less tolerant now as she reaches old age.

That first photo is just beautiful--and the second made me laugh and remember some Reader's Digest thing I heard somewhere about a mom asleep on the couch, and her toddler comes up and is gently patting her face, and she things, awww, how sweet and affectionate--but when she wakes up it turns out her face is covered in Green Stamps.

We do the same to Buddy sometimes... he just pouts and gives us a "quit it, you're mean" look until we stop poking fun at him.

Heh, just like tying strings to my cat's tails.
