Very cool. You don't see those very often anymore. My grandmother still has one that's much older than I am and I grew up with my parents having one. They still do but haven't used it in years. I don't know why, but Ive always liked them.
Sure they're ridiculously huge by today's standards, but there's just something to be said for a piece of furniture that plays music.
So, will this one function as a stereo? Or have the innards long died and it will be repurposed?
Yeah, the innards powered up, but issued only a very loud hum and a light for the radio dial. The phonograph was corroded-looking. I had dreams of making it work again, but instead I ripped the guts out and I'm going to replace them with a more modern record player (90s) and cd player (00s).
