We can hear crickets outside, and see FIREFLIES!!!

This is the first night I have seen fireflies in my own back yard since July of 1987.

Jealous. We have a handful of Lampyrids here, but they're not the kind that light up :(

It's definitely my plan to catch one and photograph it. The dogs haven't seen them yet. I wonder if they'd notice them?

Our neighbors may sneer at our side yard every year when we let it go to meadow and the fact that we don't use ChemLawn, but we're the only yard on the street with fireflies.
