Where was I?

Almost forgot I was doing this! You still interested? Were you ever? The music meme continues:

30 day song challenge day 07 - a song that reminds you of a certain event.
This song reminds me of the preparations for my first wedding, when Carrie and Renee and Barb and RAchelle would all gather at the Warren Street house and do whatever it was they were doing. It's a nice memory.

30 day song challenge day 09 - a song that you can dance to
I said to Alexis "I can't dance to anything," she said "You dance to EVERYthing," which is kind of true. I just don't dance in such a way that anyone should watch.

‎30 day song challenge day 10 - a song that makes you fall asleep.
I used to listen to the Cosmos soundtrack when I went to bed.

30 day song challenge - day 11 a song from your favorite band
I would have liked to have posted the Spore cover of this, since I already posted a Beatles song.

30 Day Song Challenge day 12 - a song from a band you hate
Sorry, BeeJay fans, I've always hated this guy. Here he mutilates a Beatles song.

I **love** the Cosmos soundtrack! I got it as an LP, and then I taped it onto a cassette tape, and then, when someone showed me I could get the MP3 of "Alpha," I was so happy. "Alpha" was one of my most favorite bits of music of all time.

One of my goals in life as a parent was to show my kids the Cosmos series. I thought, if I can show them this, then part of my duty as a parent is done.

And Public Enemy! I loved their Fight-the-Power video.

And yeah, I'm interested in people's music. I find new music through LJ. Plus, it's fun if someone posts something you like (as here)

Thanks so much for saying so! It helps reduce that feeling of yelling at a wall, that I sometimes get from posting on LJ.

Yeah, LJ's not as interactive as it used to be. -_-

I try very hard not to be depressed by that fact (and I shouldn't complain, because I still get people commenting on my entries, but it's the overall feeling, somehow.)
