I've never liked my looks. I'm okay, my husband thinks I'm beautful: clearly we have different ideas of aesthetics. :-) I've gotten to an age where I've almost stopped regretting what can't be changed, and . . . just get on with it. Life's too short, AND too long, to be this kind of self-conscious.
Besides, I've met plenty of beautiful people who became less attractive as I got to know them, and plenty of plain people who glow from within with a beauty no cosmetic or plastic surgery could duplicate. That's what I'll strive for, as that's ageless.
That angle is always cruel. I have many many many dreadful pics of myself taken by me from that vantage and I don't care how old I was, am or will be, it is a nasty shot.
