One of the most conspicuous signs of the changing seasons is the large groupings of crows. They gather in the evening and spread out in the morning. This was taken from the intersection of Hyde Park Ave and Canterbury Street on my morning commute. There were a half dozen or so crows on the wire.

There's a huge murder that gathers along the highway just west of Hartford. I think there was a NYT article about that one in the early 90s Their gathering is the official season changer for me; I find it fascinating. Also, the roof of the building where I work is one of their staging areas, and they sound like golf balls bouncing on the roof.
