I noticed it was near three o'clock and I was near the beehives, so I went and checked them out. It was a hot day and they were very active. I'm kind of sad you can't see them flying all around me.

Earlier that day I got up and checked out the gutter and found it full of debris. In addition to everything else that's bad with a clogged gutter, it will hold stagnant water and become a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

After I removed the debris, I used a hose to clean it out. In so doing, I discovered that the gutter is bent, and doesn't drain completely even when it isn't clogged. I'll have to start tossing some BTI granules up there to make sure we aren't generating our own mosquitoes.
