Small things that live in my yard

All these small things were photographed on the grounds of Contentment Cottage. These are things that I chose not to include in the 100 species project, either by caprice or ignorance.

A fly flouts the supposed insect-repellent qualities of fleabane.

Another fly soaks up sun on a goldenrod blossom.

A miniscule snail scales the stubbly leg of a tall weed.

A hemipteran bug nymph (probably), sucks plant sap while wrapped in a waxy disguise of its own excreta.

A harvestman rests symmetrically.

A plant curls a come-hither leaf.
