Can you tell from this view of the zoo hospital that the zoo used to be managed by the municipal government?


I'm glad sitting and staring at screen isn't how I spend most of my day. I get enough of that at home! (rimshot)


I'm not 100% sure of the species but I think this fuzzy gall on this oak leaf is the result of a fuzzy oak leaf gall wasp.

Someone told me the rule for public buildings in CT was, 'We don't care how much they cost, as long as they *look* cheap. Apparently it's not just CT.
