Long shadows of big oaks.


The Bird's World department has moved from a golf-cart based transportation system to one based on bicycles. I hope other areas follow suit. (My fantasy is to get a bike truck for pest control use.)



Something very scary has to happen in this location, in our snapshot horror movie.

We had bicycles for a very short period about ten years ago. That died quickly. Bicycles need to be maintained, these weren't very sturdy bikes, and much of the time we have to transport stuff that won't fit into a bicycle's basket. There is one bicycle left. It hasn't budged in over a year.

That's sad. I am worried about maintenance--we had some bikes for security and they not high quality and were ill-maintained. I think they're junk now.

I specifically want cargo bikes, since so often we're moving stuff around. My zoo is small enough that if I'm not carrying something I can go on foot for most errands.
