I wonder how long it's been since there was a dik-dik at the zoo?

Here's Okpara (we call him Okie) looking around with a suspicious and surly expression. Okie is a young male, the same age as Joe, just coming into his own. He appears beefier than Joe but is a little lighter at around 400 lbs. He's famous for slamming into the exhibit glass. He also gets crushes on human females, particularly big-boned blondes. I am not making this up.

When I was hired they asked me if I was afraid of any animals. I replied, "Gorillas make me kind of nervous..." Okie has picked up on this and will wait until I'm not paying attention and scare the crap out of me. It was with some amusement that I watched baby Kambiri come by a glowering Okie and try to get him to play with her.

You ought to have a dik dik. Isn't there some sort of rule that says zoos need to stock animals with funny names?

What I think is amazing is that the water pooling on the bottom of the dik dik bowl is in the shape of a dik dik.
