Give me an assignment!

urbpanI have an idea, which right now sounds great, but later on I will hate myself for.
Because A: It turns out that you can get paid for writing stuff but
B: You have to turn it in on time and
C: I suck at meeting deadlines but
D: I don't finish what I'm writing unless I have them,
I thought maybe I could utilize my live journal (which is too often boring, not in the good boring sense like when I talk about fungus or something but in the bad boring sense like when I just put a stupid link about deer in Wyoming) to help in this regard. And since that was all one sentence, I could use some practice putting together readable writing, as well.
So here's my idea: I write an essay (of predetermined word count) each week, based on the theme that my livejournal friends and readership (snicker) choose. The themes will follow alphabetical order, for no particular reason except that I like abecedaria, and there has to be some structure for goodness sake. The theme should be something that could conceivably fit into my zine, The Urban Pantheist, the tagline of which is "Loving Nature While Living in the City." I will solicit ideas through the week, my livejournal friends and readership (tee hee) will weigh in on what they like (or what they'd like to see me write) and that will decide the theme. Then, by Tuesday, noon, I will post my essay.
Can I keep it up for 26 weeks? God willing I will be getting more paid assignments by then (or at least before you decide what Q will be). Does anyone think this is a good idea? Does anyone care?
Unless someone comes up with a better idea by tomorrow (let's say noon, eastern time, for consistancy) I'm gonna write about Alligators. A is a hard one. I was thinking about writing about Aphids, for crying out loud.
It doesn't have to be an animal (although animals are my favorite)--My zine has had articles about riding bikes, eating bugs, and why people who say "actually" too much are annoying.
I await your "A" suggestions.
