Sometimes I get myself up into weird places at work. I had a long talk with Zookeeper Christina while I was crouched up on a cage.

Tapir love <3 The baby's coat is adorable. Is the mom just chewing the food, or is she regurgitating, or what? They're mammals, right? How old is the baby? Is that how they always eat?

4. No but I guess it happens--it makes sense that it could be part of the weaning process. Puppies (and in the old days human babies ) are fed pre-chewed/partially digested food. Also birds and social insects.
