3:00 snapshot #1407: Welcome Jay, new foster puppy!

Say hello to Jay, our newest foster puppy! Don't worry about waking him up, he sleeps all the time.



He sleeps on Alex.


He sleeps on the grass next to a log.




Mostly he wakes up in order to be cute. He's from a litter of pups that all got bird names. He was "Bluejay" but Alexis and I agreed that was an awkward dog name. Someone suggested we shorten it to "BJ," to which we quickly said no. Jay will have to do for now, I kind of want to change it but Alexis has already gotten him to respond to it. I thought "Jayne," but I don't want to explain that he's not a girl all the time.


When they are open, his greenish gray unfocused eyes are his most striking feature.


But mostly he likes to sleep on me.

Jay is a perfectly fine name for a dog, or a person, and is technically a bird name all by itself. He looks a little bit skinny in the adorable yawning picture.
