3:00 snapshot #1454

The tawny frogmouth exhibit is on a reverse light-cycle, so that most of the time it's dark in there and the nocturnal animals are active. By 3:00 the light had come back on, and it seemed very strange to me.

The Scrubland exhibit is full of Gouldian finches--which are breeding, the less colorful ones are the young birds--and double-barred finches.

no cedar waxwing icon, so have a snow bunting

The finches remind me of cedar waxwings, which always become visible at this time of year, eating tiny berries.
