I can't completely avoid being in my office, but I sure try.

The African wild dogs were uncommonly active--pro tip: want to see carnivores active at the zoo? Try a cloudy day in the 40s.

It's a real blessing to have a plant that blooms this time of year. There is a lot of witch hazel planted around the zoo--not only does it produce off-season color, it's on the approved browse list.

The only thing I love at the zoo (Bronx, in my case) more than African wild dogs is the fence between me and them. Although cute tapirs are close.

I got it from donating to a kickstarter project, but now they're available to anyone: http://www.microphonelens.com/?page_id=61

I actually need to get another one, since I seem to have lost my first one. Even with the protective case they are very small and easy to misplace. :-(
