Urban Nature in the Snow

As I post this, we are in the first major snowstorm of the 05-06 season in Boston, and across much of the northeast. Large clumps of flakes are falling in lazy helices out my window.

This is what it looked like, around 10 this morning as we walked the dogs. cottonmanifesto is a much better photographer than me, but saint that she is, she had to hurry on to help a elderly neighbor bring a feral cat to the shelter.

i love the red berries with the snow, and i like your dogs. good that they're wrapped up so cozily. i always feel badly for the dogs up here that get soaked and freezing on their daily walks/runs.

Oh man, is that pretty. Those red fruits are so festive! They have started selling winter bouquets of holly and pine at the Kendall T stop. I think I should decorate my house... I love winter!

You are good at photography too. Is the "red" theme intentional? Fruit, car lights, brick buildings, dog jackets, stop signs...pretty neat.
